Planewalker Signed to Geomagnetic Records

Doctor Spook & Planewalker

I have just been confirmed as a new artist on Geomagnetic Records (a.k.a. Geomagnetic.tv)! This represents a major step forward in my career, as Geomagnetic is perhaps the most widely recognized US psytrance label, with international distribution thorough Saiko Sounds. This means that Planewalker music will now be heard all over the globe. I’ll be celebrating this new milestone out at Psymbiotek Festival on July 10-12, 2009 in Belden, CA. Releases on Geomagnetic will be forthcoming this year, so stay tuned!

  1. That’s such good news! Congratulations.

By the way, I absolutely LOVED those Geomagnetic compilations that you sold me at Esthetic Evolution. Some really great tracks in there.

Seeing you play at the festival was inspirational and I really look forward to hearing you perform again sometime.

Ps. You should really post those videos from your second performance at the chill stage, I hear it was a killer set.

  2. Thanks man! Just checked out your visualloungemedia site. Looks like you really have something great going on there! I might want to pick your brain about marketing some day. I don’t think I have any videos from the chill stage, just the main stage. Unfortunately, they didn’t come out too well, but I will do what I can to tailor them to fit. Stay in touch, OK?

  3. Thanks a lot! I’ve been working on our new site design this week, should launch soon! If you ever need any marketing, print design, or promotional materials just let me know and I’ll cut you a killer deal.

Oh! Also. I took your advice and picked up a copy of Logic and a bunch of books on analog synthesis. I’ve working ceaselessly with the ESM and ES2 and really having a great time. I know you mentioned writing some tutorials; would you happen to have some links for those? If so I’m sure they would be a great help.

  4. Thanks so much! I’ll probably be hitting you up once I have some cash. The video lessons are part of a larger project I am putting together called Wave Guild, which is essentially an organization built around the trade secrets of audio. The plan is to launch Wave Guild in October, at which point such instruction and lessons will be available. The guild will be open to both newcomers and experience producers, and there will be a ranking system sort of like college or high school years to communicate skill level, from apprentice to journeyman to master. If you’re interested in being a part of it, let me know, and I will add you to the list of prospective apprentices.

  5. Woah! That sounds like exactly what I’ve been looking for. Just as you said, finding resources online for audio production, especially Psytrance is not an easy task. As I’m a serious apprentice, I could use all the help I can get. I’d absolutely love to be part of that! Let me know when you have more info.

  6. I will certainly keep you in the loop!

  7. I want to thank the blogger very much not only for this post but also for his all previous efforts. I found planewalker.ca to be very interesting. I will be coming back to planewalker.ca for more information.
